I am compelled by basic themes. The human figure, the dignity of all people, the tragedy of all people, the numbing indifference of war, the simplicity of gravity, and the generosity of color. My work is an organic exploration... the paintings show the way.

To mistrust society
yet affirm life.
Our obsessions provide
a loss of sanity in nature

touch loss
dignity loss
and still I reach for the light.
